Breve CV

Son Licenciado en Ciencias Químicas e Enxeñeiro Químico polas Universidades de Vigo e Santiago de Compostela, respectivamente. O meu traballo de investigación comezou no campo da produción de encimas a partir de diferentes tipos de microorganismos, tema sobre o que versou a miña tese doutoral. A continuación, comecei a traballar no deseño de novos disolventes máis sostibles para a súa aplicación na extracción de biocatalizadores e na remediación de efluentes contaminados. Este traballo foi financiado por unha trintena de proxectos de fondos públicos e privados (nacionais e internacionais) e os resultados obtidos deron lugar á publicación de case un centenar de artigos en revistas indexadas e seis capítulos de libro e presentáronse máis de 100 comunicacións a congresos (en forma de póster, relatorios orais, convidadas e plenarias). Ademais, realicei máis de tres anos de estancias internacionais en centros como a Universidade Técnica de Hamburgo (Alemaña), o Instituto de Tecnoloxía Química e Biolóxica de Oeiras (Portugal) e o Instituto Tecnolóxico de Sonora (México). Doutra banda, estiven involucrado na dirección de diferentes traballos de investigación a nivel de grao, máster e predoctoral. Por último, hei de destacar a miña participación en comités editoriais de revistas como Journal of Chemistry ou en paneis de avaliación de diversas axencias a nivel nacional e internacional.
