CINTECX is relaunching the Mentoring Programme, developed with the aim of offering academic and professional guidance to predoctoral research staff who are carrying out their thesis at the centre, as well as to those who have completed their PhD within the last two years. This programme includes a variety of both training and mentoring activities.

The inaugural session will take place on June 18 with the event “Keys to a Research Career: Scientific Outreach and Gender Perspective in Engineering”, jointly organised by CINTECX and the School of Industrial Engineering (EEI), in commemoration of International Women in Engineering Day.

During the session, we will have expert speakers who will address relevant topics such as:

• The importance of outreach in a research career.
• Tools and best practices for communicating your research.
• First-hand experiences: engaging with society and outreach in European projects.

There will also be a round table: “Scientific Outreach and Gender Perspective in Engineering”, where different researchers and expert profiles from both centres will share their experience, answer key questions, and open the discussion to attendees.

Framed within International Women in Engineering Day (23J), this event will also present the 1st Edition of the Beatrice Hicks Awards CINTECX-EEI, aimed at highlighting the role of figures who have marked milestones and paved the way in the technological–industrial field.
