From CINTECX we inform you of the holding of an English course for CINTECX staff.

The purpose of this course is to provide participants with the necessary tools to improve their communication skills in international scientific forums. Practical aspects related primarily to the precise techniques for making a good presentation in English at congresses, conferences, doctoral theses, etc. will be addressed, and the communication skills necessary to participate in a scientific debate will be addressed.

The course will be face-to-face, and will consist of 8 training sessions of 2 hours each, Tuesday and Thursday from 12 to 14 hours for 4 weeks (16 hours in total), on the following days:

• June 19

The course content is as follows:

• How to approach a presentation. Thinking about the audience
• Management of media for a presentation. Efficient design of slides, videos, audios, etc.
• Verbal communication techniques
• Non-verbal communication techniques: gestures, postures, pauses, etc.
• The parts of communication: introduction, development and conclusions
• Talking about a table, graph, image
• The turn for questions
• Pronunciation errors
• Numbers
• Statistics
• Talking about a process
• Scientific and academic communication styles in English

To access the course, you will need to have English accreditation (at least level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) obtained in the last two years. If you do not have English accreditation, a virtual level test will be taken.
