Green Alert: Save Your School with the CINTECX Mission is a comprehensive educational project for scientific outreach, funded under the 2024 FECYT Call for the Promotion of Scientific, Technological, and Innovation Culture. The project is designed to bring science and technology closer to students through active methodologies, experiential learning, and challenges linked to sustainability.
The initiative is conceived as an immersive educational experience in an Escape Room format, whose main objective is to increase scientific and technological knowledge and to foster scientific and technological vocations, especially among pre‑university students,

The project functions both as an educational tool and a training resource, enabling participants to acquire practical knowledge about energy efficiency and innovative technologies to address energy and structural challenges within their educational communities. It promotes the adoption of sustainable technological solutions in collaboration with the research staff of our center.

Project Structure
Green Alert: Save Your Center with the CINTECX Mission does not end when the Escape Room is completed. It has been designed as a learning system that consolidates and disseminates the knowledge acquired through key secondary actions

Escape Room Video Game
Participants face a fictional crisis: their educational center has suffered damage to its basic support systems

The mission is clear: to enter the CINTECX research center in search of the tools and knowledge needed to repair it. To achieve this, participants use real technological equipment such as drones, ground‑penetrating radars, purification kits, hydrogen‑based technologies, and electronic converters.
The project is organized into two parallel routes that students can choose to follow during the video game experience or the hybrid modality. Both routes address the same critical systems of the educational center, but they do so from different technological perspectives, allowing each group to explore complementary tools.

On‑Site Experience at CINTECX
After completing the video game, the project offers a guided tour of the CINTECX facilities, where students explore laboratories, real equipment, and scientific infrastructures related to the technologies featured in the game.
This experience directly connects the content of the video game with applied research, reinforcing experiential learning and bringing students closer to the work carried out by the research staff

Travelling Exhibition
If the educational center has participated in the hybrid modality, students take part in a process of scientific reflection and communication through the creation of a poster. This activity allows them to integrate the learning developed during the mission, synthesize relevant information, and present technical solutions to the problems posed in the game.
The posters created by the students may become part of a travelling exhibition that will visit different educational spaces and science outreach events. This exhibition makes it possible to publicly showcase the work carried out, highlight the solutions developed during the experience, and give visibility to the learning acquired during both the on‑site visit and the Escape Room.
In addition, it helps broaden the reach of the project by sharing the results with other schools, families, and members of the general public interested in sustainability and technological innovation.

Alerta Verde TOOLBOX – Digital Educational Repository
The toolbox is an open digital repository that brings together all the materials generated throughout the project: educational resources for teachers, explanatory videos, support content, sample posters, information on the technologies used, and outreach materials.
This space facilitates ongoing learning beyond the initial experience, allowing teachers to use, adapt, and expand the content in the classroom. The toolbox also serves as a living archive of the project, accessible to educational centers, families, and the general public
