The Energy Technology Group (GTE) was created more than 20 years ago with the aim of strengthening capabilities in the field of energy engineering and becoming a national academic and research benchmark, as well as a pillar of technological and scientific development in Galicia.

The group currently has more than 30 members, placing it among those with the highest scientific output and technology transfer at the University of Vigo, with over 150 articles published in prestigious international journals and more than 100 conference contributions. This track record has earned it several institutional recognitions, including its designation as a Galician competitive reference group due to the quality of its research.

GTE combines applied research and technological development in the fields of decarbonization, energy efficiency, and ecological transition, with a strong focus on collaboration with industry and participation in European projects.
