The EQ10 research group is a multidisciplinary team established in 2009 at the School of Industrial Engineering. It carries out activities in the field of Environmental Technology, with a focus on the circular economy for the valorisation of agri-food industry waste, aimed at obtaining high value-added products such as biosurfactants, antioxidants, bioadsorbents, antibiotics, among others.
It currently comprises 9 members. Its coordinators hold a total of 4 six-year research periods, more than 140 SCI-indexed published articles, over 180 conference contributions, participation in more than 40 R&D projects, and the co-supervision of 9 PhD theses. Since its creation, it has been recognised by the Xunta de Galicia as an “Emerging Group” and a “Group with Growth Potential”.
