Doutora en Enxe\u00f1ar\u00eda Industrial pola Universidade de Vigo en 1994. Desde 1996 \u00e9 Profesora Titular na Universidade de Vigo. Impartiu docencia universitaria desde 1989. Os seus intereses de investigaci\u00f3n son: An\u00e1lise de textura, clasificaci\u00f3n de patr\u00f3ns, recuperaci\u00f3n de imaxes baseada no contido, segmentaci\u00f3n de imaxes, colorimetr\u00eda. \u00c9 coautor de 40 publicaci\u00f3ns (artigos, traballos en congresos, cap\u00edtulos de libros), participante en 14 proxectos de I+D financiados en Convocatorias p\u00fablicas e 6 en contratos de I+D de especial relevancia con Empresas e\/ou Administraci\u00f3ns. \u00c9 coautora de 1 patente. Realizou estad\u00edas de investigaci\u00f3n no estranxeiro e fora da comunidade aut\u00f3noma. Colaborou na organizaci\u00f3n de 3 congresos.
