Ha realizado diversas estancias de investigaci\u00f3n en el \u201cUSDA Forest Service\u201d, perteneciente al Departamento Americano de Agricultura, en Madison-Wisconsin (EE.UU.), as\u00ed como en el Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Biol\u00f3gica de la Universidad de Minho en Braga-Portugal. Fu\u00e9 investigadora del programa nacional \u00abJuan de la Cierva\u00bb en el Departamento de Edafolog\u00eda y Qu\u00edmica Agr\u00edcola de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela de 2004 a 2006. Paralelamente tambi\u00e9n fue Profesora asociada a tiempo parcial en el Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica de Universidad de Vigo de 2001 a 2006. Posteriormente consigui\u00f3 un contrato \u201cRam\u00f3n &amp; Cajal\u201d, desarrollando su investigaci\u00f3n en el Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica de la Universidad de Vigo entre los a\u00f1os 2006 a 2010. Destacar que en la convocatoria de 2005 del \u201cPrograma Ram\u00f3n &amp; Cajal \u201d logr\u00f3 el primer puesto en el \u00e1rea de Tecnolog\u00eda Qu\u00edmica. Desde 2010 a 2020 ha sido Profesora Contratada Doctora, con plaza fija, en el Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica de la Universidad de Vigo y desde 2020 es Profesora Titular en el mismo departamento. En 2009 Ana Moldes junto con otro profesor del Programa Ram\u00f3n y Cajal, Jos\u00e9 M. Cruz, crearon el grupo de investigaci\u00f3n \u201cEQ10 team\u201d. El grupo de investigaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 reconocido por la Escuela T\u00e9cnica Superior de Ingenier\u00eda Industrial de la Universidad de Vigo con alto potencial de crecimiento. Este premio tambi\u00e9n es reconocido por el Gobierno Auton\u00f3mico con la concesi\u00f3n de una financiaci\u00f3n consecutiva a partir de 2009 dedicada a dar apoyo econ\u00f3mico a grupos de investigaci\u00f3n con potencial de crecimiento.<br \/>\nA lo largo de su carrera investigadora su trabajo se ha centrado en la utilizaci\u00f3n de residuos agroindustriales para la producci\u00f3n biotecnol\u00f3gica de aditivos alimentarios y \/ o qu\u00edmicos, principalmente \u00e1cido l\u00e1ctico y biosurfactantes, as\u00ed como la obtenci\u00f3n de bioadsorbentes. Hasta fecha, ha publicado m\u00e1s de 140 art\u00edculos en revistas internacionales, con un \u00edndice H de 35. Ha codirigido m\u00e1s de 7 Tesis Doctorales presentadas en el formato de art\u00edculos obteniendo cada Tesis al menos 6 art\u00edculos publicados en revistas SCI, y en algunas de las ellos varias patentes. Es coautora de 7 patentes, ha publicado m\u00e1s de 10 cap\u00edtulos de libros y ha presentado m\u00e1s de 150 comunicaciones en congresos. Una de estas patentes tiene extensi\u00f3n PCT a varios pa\u00edses de la Uni\u00f3n Europea, y est\u00e1 licenciada por una empresa de \u00e1mbito internacional.<br \/>\nA lo largo de su carrera investigadora ha participado en m\u00e1s de 20 proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n, siendo investigadora principal en 4 Proyectos de Investigaci\u00f3n del Plan Nacional de I + D + i, un proyecto regional y varios locales. En cuanto a su actividad de transferencia en 2019 fue galardonada por la Real Sociedad Academia Gallega con el \u201cPremio Fernando Calvet\u201d y durante los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os ha liderado diversos contratos de transferencia con empresas nacionales e internacionales.<br \/>\nPor \u00faltimo, tiene reconocidos 3 sexenios de investigaci\u00f3n (el \u00faltimo concedido el 23\/06\/2016) y
