Se doctor\u00f3, con premio extraordinario, por esta universidad en el a\u00f1o 2000 y posteriormente se incorpor\u00f3 a la Universidade de Santiago de Compostela a trav\u00e9s del prestigioso programa nacional de recursos humanos \u201cRam\u00f3n y Cajal\u201d. Realiz\u00f3 estancias de investigaci\u00f3n en la USDA en Madison-Wisconsin (USA) y en el Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Biol\u00f3gica de la Universidade do Minho, en Braga-Portugal. A lo largo de su carrera investigadora particip\u00f3 en m\u00e1s de 30 proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n, ha publicado m\u00e1s de 125 art\u00edculos internacionales en revistas SCI, estando m\u00e1s del 75% de los mismos en el primer tercio de su ep\u00edgrafe, en el JCR. Tiene un \u00edndice H de 37, ha publicado 6 cap\u00edtulos de libros y present\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 170 comunicaciones a congresos, ha codirigido 8 tesis doctorales y es coautor de 6 patentes (dos de ellas licenciadas por empresas nacionales e internacionales). Es el Director del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica desde el 4\/11\/2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12\">\n<h2
