Desde 2007 Profesor Titular en la Universidad de Vigo. Est\u00e1 acreditado al cuerpo de Catedr\u00e1ticos desde 2012. Ha impartido docencia universitaria desde 1997. Sus intereses de investigaci\u00f3n son las t\u00e9cnicas geom\u00e1ticas. Es coautor de m\u00e1s de 120 publicaciones (art\u00edculos y cap\u00edtulos de libros), participante en m\u00e1s de 75 proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n y contratos con empresas. Es coautor de 16 patentes y modelos de utilidad. Ha realizado 3 estancias de investigaci\u00f3n en el extranjero. Ha colaborado en la organizado m\u00e1s de 20 seminarios y congresos. Ha dirigido m\u00e1s de 12 Tesis Doctorales y m\u00e1s de 100 Trabajos Fin de M\u00e1ster, Trabajos Fin de Grao y Proyectos Fin de Carrera. Ha sido Director de la E.T.S.E. MINAS de la Universidad de Vigo. Es miembro de las comisiones t\u00e9cnicas de la ISPRS (The International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing). Es censor de numerosas revistas nacionales e internacionales. Es evaluador externo de la ANEP, ACSUG y DEVA.
