<\/p>\nThe Research Center for Technologies, Energy and Industrial Processes (CINTECX) presents its illustrated calendar for the year 2026, an initiative that reinforces its commitment to increasing the visibility of its research staff and to the values that guide its scientific activity.<\/p>\n
Under the motto \u201cCommitment, work\u2013life balance and equality\u201d, the calendar brings together 12 researchers from the center, each of whom represents one month of the year. Through original illustrations and personal reflections, the project highlights the importance of integrating these principles into research development and professional life.<\/p>\n
This edition features Pedro Arias, from the GeoTech group; Christian Gil, Eduardo Su\u00e1rez and Miguel Concheiro, from the GTE group; Marta Pazos, Xan Barreiro and \u00c1ngeles Sanrom\u00e1n, from the BIOSUV group; Fidel \u00c1lvarez, laboratory technician at CINTECX; Alejandro G\u00f3mez, from the APET group; Jos\u00e9 Manuel Cruz and Ana Bel\u00e9n Moldes, from the EQ10 group; and Stefano Chiussi, from the New Materials group.<\/p>\n
Each month includes a reflection written by one of the members of the research staff, highlighting the importance of promoting inclusive working environments, supporting work\u2013life balance and strengthening the social commitment of science.<\/p>\n
The calendar is available both in print and digital format, and can be downloaded from the Equality section of the CINTECX website.<\/p>\n

The researcher from the GeoTech group, Pedro Arias S\u00e1nchez, opens the calendar representing the month of January. In his reflection, he focuses on the importance of establishing healthy boundaries between personal and professional life, a key aspect for moving towards more balanced and sustainable work models.<\/p>\n
Recently, Arias was interviewed as part of the C\u00e1mara Aberta CINTECX for Women and Men in STEM initiative, where he discussed his research career and addressed current challenges related to work\u2013life balance, as well as the importance of caring for older adults when organising professional life.<\/p>\n
