The Research Center for Technologies, Energy and Industrial Processes (CINTECX) closed the year with a balance that confirms its role as a benchmark in the training of research staff. In 2025, 14 doctoral theses were defended, nine of them with international mention, a figure that reflects the academic strength of the center and its growing projection in the global scientific field.<\/p>\n
The commitment to doctoral research is part of CINTECX\u2019s strategy to promote innovation, knowledge transfer, and collaboration with leading institutions, both in Spain and abroad.<\/p>\n
Among those who defended their theses are Rub\u00e9n Carranza Fern\u00e1ndez, Imen Ouiriemmi, Javier Blanco Rodr\u00edguez, Andrea Mart\u00ednez Arcos, C\u00e9sar \u00c1lvarez Berm\u00fadez, and Ksenia Aleksandrovna Lvova, whose work strengthens the scientific and academic projection of the center.<\/p>\n
The University of Vigo distinguished several of the theses defended at CINTECX during the 2024\/2025 academic year. Javier Blanco Rodr\u00edguez, a researcher from the Energy Technology Group (GTE), received the Doctoral Thesis Award in the entrepreneurship category for a project that led to the creation of Aegis Dynamics, an advanced simulation platform to improve the efficiency and durability of engines and other industrial applications.<\/p>\n
In the same category, the thesis of Alex Alonso D\u00edaz, from the GeoTech group, was also awarded. The thesis of Ant\u00eda Fern\u00e1ndez Sanrom\u00e1n, from the BIOSUV group, received a mention and, in addition, the award for the best thesis in topics related to the 2030 Agenda, Development Cooperation, and Corporate Social Responsibility.<\/p>\n
These recognitions consolidate CINTECX\u2019s position as a reference center in doctoral research, capable of combining academic excellence with social and business impact. The growing international presence of its theses and their alignment with the objectives of the 2030 Agenda reinforce its role in building a more sustainable and innovative future.<\/p>\n
