Quintero, who succeeds Professor Jos\u00e9 Cidr\u00e1s Pidre, has complemented his teaching and research work over the past four and a half years with the deputy directorship of Cintecx, the Research Center for Technologies, Energy, and Industrial Processes at the University of Vigo, a position he will not continue in as he joins the leadership of the Vice-Rectorate of Planning and Sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Santiago de Compostela in 1974, Quintero is an industrial engineer from UVigo, where he also earned his doctorate with a thesis on laser cutting of advanced ceramics.
