{"id":257339,"date":"2025-01-08T10:34:43","date_gmt":"2025-01-08T09:34:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cintecx.uvigo.es\/?p=257339"},"modified":"2025-01-16T10:48:21","modified_gmt":"2025-01-16T09:48:21","slug":"dos-investigadoras-de-cintecx-reciben-las-prestigiosas-ayudas-ramon-y-cajal-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cintecx.uvigo.es\/en\/dos-investigadoras-de-cintecx-reciben-las-prestigiosas-ayudas-ramon-y-cajal-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Two CINTECX researchers receive the prestigious Ram\u00f3n y Cajal 2023 grants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CINTECX researchers Aida Mar\u00eda D\u00edez Sarabia and Mar\u00eda Salom\u00e9 \u00c1lvarez \u00c1lvarez have been awarded Ram\u00f3n y Cajal grants for their research in environmental sciences and technologies, and chemical sciences and technologies, respectively, consolidating their future in the field of scientific research in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>These grants encourage the incorporation of outstanding research personnel, promoting their stability in the Spanish Science, Technology and Innovation System.<\/p>\n<p>At a regional level, the case of Aida D\u00edez Sarabia stands out for being recognized as the youngest Galician researcher to receive the Ram\u00f3n y Cajal grant in this call, ranking ninth out of the total of 45 grants awarded at a national level.<\/p>\n<p>D\u00edez Sarabia, who began her research career during her Master&#8217;s degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Vigo, has made important contributions to advanced oxidation processes and the electrochemical splitting of water for the generation of green hydrogen in the BIOSUV group at CINTECX, of which she has been a member since 2014. &#8220;Thanks to the Ram\u00f3n y Cajal scholarship, I will be able to continue focusing on these lines of research, with the aim of developing more efficient and sustainable catalysts.&#8221; The researcher hopes that her studies will allow for the production of innovative materials that improve the processes of removing pollutants and generating hydrogen, reducing costs and environmental impact.
