Novos Materiais was established in 1995 with the aim of conducting research on the development and application of new functional materials, combining bioengineering, nanotechnology, and photonics.<\/p>\n
The group currently has 11 members, has supervised 18 doctoral theses, and exceeds 180 scientific publications, having been recognized as a Competitive Reference Group by the Xunta de Galicia.<\/p>\n
Its activity ranges from the synthesis and modification of advanced materials to their application in sensors, biomedical devices, heritage conservation, and protection against corrosion and wear.<\/p>\n
FA3 participates in excellence networks and collaborates with scientific and technological institutions to promote innovative solutions aimed at social well being and sustainable development.<\/p>\n
