Breve CV

Profesor Titular del Departamento de Ingeniería Química de la Universidade de Vigo, con 3 sexenios de investigación y 4 quinquenios docentes. Se doctoró, con premio extraordinario, por esta universidad en el año 2000 y posteriormente se incorporó a la Universidade de Santiago de Compostela a través del prestigioso programa nacional de recursos humanos “Ramón y Cajal”. Realizó estancias de investigación en la USDA en Madison-Wisconsin (USA) y en el Departamento de Ingeniería Biológica de la Universidade do Minho, en Braga-Portugal. A lo largo de su carrera investigadora participó en más de 30 proyectos de investigación, ha publicado más de 125 artículos internacionales en revistas SCI, estando más del 75% de los mismos en el primer tercio de su epígrafe, en el JCR. Tiene un índice H de 37, ha publicado 6 capítulos de libros y presentó más de 170 comunicaciones a congresos, ha codirigido 8 tesis doctorales y es coautor de 6 patentes (dos de ellas licenciadas por empresas nacionales e internacionales). Es el Director del Departamento de Ingeniería Química desde el 4/11/2025.
